You Are The Miracle - Act On Your Dreams

Andrea Simmons' "You are the Miracle" video/ DVD interviews four wonderfully inspiring, creative role models of our time who share their secrets to living a full, meaningful life. They range in age (at the time) from 62 to 102. They share their histories, their thoughts, their philosophies and how they overcame obstacles. They speak from the heart in a way that lets us all know that we can connect to our creative side and that our whole lives can become fulfilling and enriched.

Beatrice Wood

world famous, ever-young potter who didn't take her first pottery class until she was 45. Beatrice was also a playwright and had her first play performed when she was 98. Beatrice was vital and electric all of her life. She produced some of her best work in her 90's.

James Hubbell

incredible organic architect, sculptor, painter, glass maker, potter, and poet of such amazing and unique talent that to be exposed to him and to his work is to be yourself altered.

Vivika and Otto Heino

also renowned potters, share with us in the video how they created such a wonderful relationship and life.

Al Struckus

a major art collector, began as a high school dropout from a family of poverty and violence. At 62 he began work on a Bruce Goff designed home which became one of the most unique living spaces in the world. Al's incredible home has been featured in almost every magazine in the world.

Little did I know that when I finally decided to go forward that it would be the only time such a combination of people could be brought together.

"You are the Miracle" was completed in November of 1994. Since then four of the incredibly talented role models featured in this film have passed away. The loved energies that are no longer with us are Vivika Heino (August 1995), Otto Heino (July 2009), Al Struckus (April 1995), and Beatrice Wood (March 1998). Their ability to share their inspirational words and stories will live on in "You are the Miracle". May they long be remembered and their impact held in our hearts forever.
